“ Great value for real Chinese food! Not pretty but very reasonable prices and everything is so fresh because it all moves so quickly. I am writing about the market. Sadly the food court has been greatly diminished post Covid. Only a few vendors open. Main entrance seems closed for construction. ”
“ One of my favorite dry hotpot places. It's not too expensive and the food taste super good! I love the beef, spam, and fish the best! My only complaint is that the owners are kinda hard to talk to and sometimes they give me less than on certain days even though I'm ordering the same order every time I go. OVERALL: 8.1/10 This place constantly changing the restaurants inside except some of the best ones that remain in there like the Shanghai Dumpling house. “ This is a cheap place frequented mostly by the locals. I came for the soup dumplings in stall 1. That is one of the rare places where you get chicken soup dumplings. Dumplings were good. Pork and roe dumplings were the best though. Skin of the dumplings were thicker than normal, which is not desirable. They keep a deposit of $1, which they will return when you return the dumpling basket. Restrooms were not kept neat. ”
“ Fei Long's food court is my go to place to get some Mala dry pots when I'm in the area. While they have other food options, I typically only go for one out of the 3 mala vendors. Mala Xiang Guo - The most popular one with another location in New World Mall in Flushing. Their meat and seafood are weighed by pounds and it's a set price for a basket of vegetables. This comes in a orange pot that many mala places use. Sister Gourmet Paradise - Same idea as mala xiang guo's. The difference is that they serve their food in a tin bowl with fire underneath to keep it hot. Peng Shun - Instead of basket, they weigh everything by pound including the vegetables. Because of this, the lady actually threw in a huge chunk of vegetable whole without peeling any part of it. They serve the food in a tin bowl without the fire underneath. Out of the three, I think this is probably the tastiest. The ladies who work at any of the three places are typically very aggressive in trying to put more food in your bowl because it's by weight. Assert your dominance and inform them of how much you want to make sure you don't end up with enough food to feed a village. ”
“ So many options to chose from! The most popular thing here is this one Asian store. Not sure about the name but they sell freshly made cha sur roasted pork roasted duck soysauce chicken and noodles. They have an infinite amount of options and is the most popular stall there. Recently many restaurants have closed down with only a few remaining. The other option is soup dumplings which I find mediocre. And three of the same exactly places. All three places have fresh veggies and meat and seafood for you to chose from and they combine this with a spicy numbing sauce with tons and tons of oil. Pretty good over rice but this will definitely break your calorie intake! ”
